Vit D3 dosage in iu

I have a 3 year old child whose weight is 13 kg. He gets cough and cold frequently. The doctor had said that he also has weak immunity due to which he gets frequent attacks and recommended him kidrich Vitamin D3 oral shots. i lost his prescription so that, i am not able to decide how many doses should be given and can you tell me how many doses should be given to the child. & Can a pregnant lady take Vitamin D3 in the first semester?

Yes can take.. All pregnant women should take a 10 microgram (or 400 IU) supplement of vitamin D each day. This will give your baby enough vitamin d for the first few months of life. This guidance is strongly recommended through autumn and winter and advised in spring and summer.

Hello,if we suspect vit d defeciency ,then vit d test are done first ,after that treatment is started accordingly.in pregnancy vit d and calcium supplements can be taken in 1 st trimester
