Vigorous Snoring

I am a vigorous snorer. I am 46, height is 5.10" and weight is 89Kgs. I use CPAP machine while sleeping but the same is not comfortable. I have tried many doctors/ENT's. Some suggest of surgery, whereas some suggest for reducing weight. Is there any proper/permanent treatment for snoring.
