My father is vaccinated with first short of Covishield and been more then 28 days, is he protected and if yes till what extend. And yes he will have his second dose when the date comes. But after first what percentage the person is protected ?

Getting vaccinated is no guarantee that he won’t have infection. Even he gets the infection it will be in a milder form, not requiring hospitalisation & risk of mortality is greatly reduced. Protection comes 2-3 weeks after the second dose
