Vaccination

My daughter is 6 month old. At 6, 10 and 14 week we gave her DPT Painless Vaccination Hexaxim. Now I came to know that painless are less effective than painful. Her next DPT vaccination is due on 18 month and at 5 year. Can we give her painful injection at 18 month and 5 year. Will it be equally effective if I would have opted for painful for 1st 3 doses. Please guide.

DPT which has whole cell pertussis component is better immunogenic hence this should be preferred even if it is painful. Pain can be managed with analgesics.

That is wrong. Painless (DTaP) injection is also equally effective as painful(DTwP). There is no difference.  Ignore it.

Both are equally efficient. Nothing to worry. Now at 1.5 yrs and 5 yrs you will get only the painful one... DTwP.... so you have to go with the painful one only....
