Your mother had bleeding after the menopause and this is called postmenopausal bleeding. She had an ultrasound as well as an endometrial biopsy which is the recommended investigation. If the bleeding has stopped she does not need further medication. She will need a follow up ultrasound in six months to assess the thickness of the endometrium if there is no bleeding again. However, if she has bleeding again before that she needs a hysteroscopy with D and C. So it appears that so far she has received appropriate help for her presentation. Your doctor may have done some blood tests which you say are normal.
