USE OF ASPIRIN 75 FOR LOW BLOOD PRESSURE

Dear doctor my mother has just recovered from covid. Due to elevated d dimer value 1100 doctor advised to take aspirin 75 for 10 days. But BP of my mother is 110/55 now. Should she take the blood thinner like aspirin? Kindly help

Aspirin should be taken. It has nothing to do with BP.

Continue ecosprin as advised.  It won't harm in low blood pressure.  However 110/55 mmHg BP is not considered low. Her D dimer is high. Get D dimer repeated after 10 days and review with report

Aspirin is a blood thinner and helps in preventing the clot formation which can occur during or post covid ( increased D -Dimer leveles )
