Unusual headaches

Hi, i have an issue with frequent headaches which are generally triggered by stressful days or hunger or even longer exposure to the sun. Recently i experienced two consecutive sharp stabs of pain on the left side of my head just above my ear, nothing happened after that. Is this normal or should i get this checked out? What could be the possible cause? Thanks in advance.

Primary stabbing headaches can be associated with other headaches like tension type headaches or migraines. They are usually short lived only. Treatment is focused only if they occur on frequent basis
