My father is more than 60. His hiccups can't be stopped and it's more than a week. What could be the reason. What tests should be go for. His throat is choked now. We have consulted our family doctor but he is able to figure out properly the reason behind the hiccups. This happened 3 years back too but it had stopped in 4-5 days without any medication. This time we expected it to stop normally but it has not. Kindly guide.
