Hi Maam unilateral cross Bite at this age could be because of some deleterious habit like thumb sucking mouth breathing clenching grinding at night I would request you to see a pedodontist. So that further investigations and examination could be carried out and the best treatment could hence be rendered. And cross bite has to be corrected first time you see it so kindly address this as a need of the hour.

It's a tender age. The best way is to visit an Orthodontist and know the exact scenario. Here we can do just wild guesses without the photographs and radiographs. Some times early intervention is done while sometimes it is delayed.

If the cross bite is with the back teeth, we can leave it for now & keep having regular check ups. A front tooth crops bite should be corrected at the earliest as it can affect growth of the jaws. We have very simple appliances & methods to correct front tooth cross bites.

your just 5 yrs 5 months ,from 6 yrs your permanent teeth starts erupting. sometimes it may get corrected naturally as u grow. ideal age for an orthodontic treatment would be 10-14 years. for now u can stop worrying about your alingment of teeth. keep smiling ...gud day.

It will be difficult to judge anything without seeing the case clinically. But at this casev cannot coreect the cross bite.its not advised to place the brackets until all teeth are erupted.

At this age usually correction is not done unless it is affecting jaw growth. Please consult a good orthodontist in your area to who will examine and advise accordingly
