Umbilical granuloma
Hi Dr
My doctor has suggested to keep rock salt for 3 days for umbilical granuloma and it's been 10days I still see little watery discharge and the belly looks like this (please see the attached image) should I still have to continue the rock salt treatment or will it be cured.. please help me here
Rock salt application is an effective and cheap method for umbilical granuloma.apply rock salt for 30 minutes,3 times a day. Usually granuloma decreases in size in 3 days.
Next Steps
if the size is still the same , you should consult with your pediatrician. silver nitrate ointment application is another option.
