Typhi O & Typhi H
Hello, my son had a fever from last two weeks, after blood checkup suggested by doctors we found Typhi O & Typhi H as q 1:40. His fever is doing and going. Want to know is it curable by medicines or are there any side effects of the fever.
Widal report for typhoid seems normal (ratio of 1:160 or even is signifcant or better if repeat titres are suggesting increased level). best and gold standard test is blood culture to diagnose typhoid fever.
IF fever is persisting for more than 2 weeks, it should be properly evaluated. there are lots of possibilties. you should consult your pediatrician and if need arise may need admission.
