Your concern is understandable. However, the reports point towards type 1
diabetes. Currently, insulin injections are the only approved treatment for type 1 diabetes. There are accessories available which can reduce the pain , you can discuss the same with your doctor. The newer delivery sysytems like insulin pump can be useful at a later date, wherein the number of injections is reduced drastically as insulin is continuously given through a needle placed on the abdomen.
Gad antibodies just point to the diagnosis. One doesn't aim to reduce its levels.
Infections are looked out for only if the doctor suspects it in presence of symptoms like fever, cough etc.
Do not try to stop insulin on your own, it can be dangerous.
