1.5 months earlier 20/03/17 my 3 years old son was diagonised with type 1 diabetes. his hb1ac was 10.2%. he was having pain at centre of abdomen. he started bed wetting which was not used to. doctors claim it type 1. but none of the doctors in my town have checked for infections or anything else which could spike blood sugar. On 29/4/2017 His C-peptide test result was 0.63 (scale 0.81-3.85) and GAD antibodies test result was 44.7 ( scale <>30)i believe there is something else which spikes his blood sugar. and also if its type 1 then is there some permanent safe cure for reversal. insulin hurts him a lot. please suggest what best could be done. Any way to bring down GAD antibodies?? Attached are his test report and sugar tests results at home

Your concern is understandable. However, the reports point towards type 1 diabetes. Currently,  insulin injections are the only approved treatment for type 1 diabetes. There are accessories available which can reduce the pain , you can discuss the same with your doctor. The newer delivery sysytems like insulin pump can be useful at a later date, wherein the number of injections is reduced drastically as insulin is continuously given through a needle placed on the abdomen. Gad antibodies just point to the diagnosis. One doesn't aim to reduce its levels. Infections are looked out for only if the doctor suspects it in presence of symptoms like fever, cough etc. Do not try to stop insulin on your own, it can be dangerous.
