TVS Report

Hello Doctor, My wife has tested positive with home pregnancy kit. However her Beta HCG value is just 689.98mUI/ml. As per the doctor she is 5w+3 days pregnant and her LMP was on 27th Dec 2021. Upon receiving the TVS report, the doctor suggested a rescan after 48hrs. Could you please help me understand what exactly is wrong with the report and any risk factors are there for current and future pregnancies. I have attached the report for your reference. Thanks.

Beta HCG should double in 48 hours in growing pregnancy As per USG there is no e/o pregnancy inside uterus , suspicious of pregnancy growing either in tube or near ovary ( which we say ectopic pregnancy ) So beta HCG to be repeated after 48 hours of last sample In growing pregnancy ideally scan should be done at 7 weeks of gestation so proper fetus with heart beats seen, unless any complaints scan can be done early Early pregnancy sometimes present like this Continue medication given by your doctor
Next Steps
Keep check on severe abdominal pain ,giddiness report to your doctor accordingly

TVs will not pick up a pregnancy till bhcg titers are more than 1000 A doubling bhcg titer in 48 hours will ensure a healthy Intrauterine pregnancy
