I recently found that I am pregnant and my last period was 18th April. So i am around 4 weeks pregnant now. Earlier I had a miscarriage in October 2020. This is my second chance Beta hcg level on 16th May was 329. Also, TSH level is 6.3 (on 17th May) Earlier my TSH level was 3.1(on 21st April) Doctor prescribed eltroxin 50mg daily. Why suddenly my TSH increased in 4 weeks? Can TSH level adversely affect pregnancy? Thanks!!

Yes an untreated tsh will adversely affect pregnancy n mental well being of the unborn In pregnancy as ur weight increases n the baby's thyroid requirement also add ur tsh may increase Tsh should be monitored every 45 days n dose should be adjusted accordingly Maintaining tsh less than 2.5 in first trimester n less than 3 till term
