Numbness while sitting cross legged on floor is a common problem and may be found normally in many individuals...If u feel your hip movements are restricted or if you experience numbness in the leg at other times also, pls consult an orthopaedician for proper evaluation.

You should get an x-ray done. Because there can be some problem like degenerative changes in your hip joint. It must be ruled out first.
Next Steps
Go to a physiotherapist.. Proper assessment, diagnosis and treatment is required... Some stretching and strengthening exercises will be helpful.
Health Tips
At home.. Cycling is a good exercise.
