Transvaginal scan Probe nor cleaned
Hi I have recently undergone USH abdomen & pelvis to look of any issue after d n c 23 days. But the radiologist didn't used any condom nor cleaned the prove they were scanning fast for every patient without cleaning. I am worried if it causes any STD 's or any other infections of other patients to me. Am I at risk. My Usg was normal. PLZ reply thank u
If not properly cleaned and disinfected, there is a small risk of transmitting infections, including:

Hi. Nothing to worry about here. It is possible that they cleaned it just after the previous patient was examined and you didn't see it.
Ideally, they should have used a disposable barrier.
But don't worry. For now, you can monitor the genital area for any rashes or ulcers. And report to a General Physician/Dermatologist at the earliest if you see any.
