Transvaginal scan Probe nor cleaned

Hi I have recently undergone USH abdomen & pelvis to look of any issue after d n c 23 days. But the radiologist didn't used any condom nor cleaned the prove they were scanning fast for every patient without cleaning. I am worried if it causes any STD 's or any other infections of other patients to me. Am I at risk. My Usg was normal. PLZ reply thank u

If not properly cleaned and disinfected, there is a small risk of transmitting infections, including: 1. Bacterial vaginosis 2. Yeast infections 3. Chlamydia

Hi. Nothing to worry about here. It is possible that they cleaned it just after the previous patient was examined and you didn't see it. Ideally, they should have used a disposable barrier. But don't worry. For now, you can monitor the genital area for any rashes or ulcers. And report to a General Physician/Dermatologist at the earliest if you see any.
