Hello, after a root canal if tooth pains then outs important to re do an  x ray of the concerned tooth and check for following things Root canal therapy was successful or not. Infection has subsided or there is re infection Any infection in surrounding gums Any other teeth around this tooth which has a problem and is causing referred pain.

visit the dentist and get a x ray done before you proceed for cap
