Sometimes cause of tooth sensitivity are,
1. Presence of caries in tooth, which is approximating dentinal or pulp layer.
Rx: RCT with or without antibiotic.
2. Wear off of teeth structure, enamel or dentinal structure which is approximating pulpal exposure.
Rx: restoration/RCT
3. Calculus depisition-->gingival inflammation
-->sensitivity
Rx : scaling.
4.pericoronitis irt third molar most commonly.
Rx analgesic with or without antibiotic.
In case it is not exposing/approximaring the pulp layer, use local application of
SENSIGEL/TOOTH MIN,4-5 times/day,before food,not to swallow saliva during the ointment applied on tooth,spit out after 3-4 minutes. And rinse mouth thoroughly.

Do not do Hot compression/balm/ointment application extra-orally on cheek region.
Luke warm water salt gargle a few times per day, only if it's relieving the symptoms even partially.
Avoid hard/hot/cold/sweet/sticky food.
Soft diet.
Do not neglect brushing twice daily after food.
