hello, you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done if required. if there is a cavity, get it filled. if there is infection to the roots of the tooth, you need to get it treated.

Reasons of pain are many:- 1- Dental work may result in tooth sensitivity due to inflammation of the pulp tissues inside a tooth. 2- Decay, a loose filling and/ or a cracked tooth. 3- If its a lingering pain after eating anything hot/ cold then the pulp is inflamed/ dying, & may be irreversible damage usually as a result of deep decay or physical trauma. 4- A tooth may have an infection/ abscess that has spread from pulp into the surrounding periodontal tissues & bone.
