I VE HAD A ROOT CANAL OF MY TOOTH IN THE UPPER JAW LINE 8 YRS BACK. THE CAP AND THE FILLING WENT OFF THREE YEARS AGO I HAD DID NOT PAID ATTENTION AND LET THE LTOOTH REMAIN OPEN IT HAS NOW STARTED PAINING BADLY SINCE LAST 3 DAYS. HAD KETOROL-DT FOR PAIN RELIEF . SHOULD I OPT FOR A RE ROOT CANAL OR JUST AGAIN IGNORE THE PROBLEM NOW THAT THE PAIN HAS SUBSIDED.

Visit to dentist as soon as possible. Already u have neglected ur tooth. If tooth can be saved and has good prognosis go for it.
Next Steps
xray/ iopa may be required.
