Took Ecp on the day of my period

Please respond, I have regular cycle and never took any pills before. I took ECP 1st time on the same day of intercourse, which was the day before my normal period should have happened, I got my period 2days after intercourse with cramps same way i got last month. But the problem is i had 5-6 days cycle and the bleeding would cut out but now it's 5th day and i am bleeding just like the 1st day. I am worried, has ECP contributed in my bleeding? Does Ecp have any harm to my period that will come tomorrow if i take ecp today. I am concerned about my bleeding it's same even on 5th day of period. What to do? please help.

Now it has happened. You have already taken EC pill when there was no need. Now let this period Stop automatically. Don't take any hormones in next cycle and let us see the pattern of bleeding in next period.

Yes it is because of intake of ipill. It does mess up the hormones And you didn’t need it in the first place , because that was a safe period

Hi Yes the heavy menstrual bleeding is caused by ECP. It is a very well known side effect of ecp. You should monitor this cycle. Follow a iron rich diet and good sleep. That’s all. Thanks Dr Shweta
