Hello user, the point raised by you are we justified, being a parent myself I can put myself in your shoes. Tonsillectomy is a surgery where we remove the tonsils and is generally done in younger age...  It is generally acceptable in India that the tonsillectomy can be done easily in a child with age or 3 years or more.... This is only an arbitrary criteria which we follow....  In today's era the anaesthesia is quite safe.... Don't worry and just go ahead with the surgery depending upon your child's case....
