My mother hears this ringing noise continuously throughout the day, except while sleeping. Is there any REAL cure for this problem? Many of them saying only the hearing aid is the solution.

It depends on the cause of tinnitus. A complete ENT check up and a test called audiometry help to detect the cause and the treatment depends on cause.
