Normally it takes around 6-8 weeks to reflect change in TSH value after altering medication. Once TSH is in normal range you can check TSH once every 3 months. For hypothyroidism treatment patient takes levothyroxine tablet daily on empty stomach. If patient forget to take a tablet for a day then she can take 2 tablets on next day. Food and drinks should be avoided for atleast 1hr after taking tablet.
