Throat pain , burning

My mother is 50 years old. She has been experiencing a burning sensation from her throat down to her chest for the past 4+ months. She also has persistent throat pain and feels as if something is stuck in her throat. She had similar symptoms about two years ago, which resolved on their own, but they have now returned. Based on these symptoms, what could be the possible cause or condition?

Good afternoon, based on the symptoms you've provided, it appears as if she's suffering with a Reflux disease. This is a condition where the acid in the stomach gets kicked up to the throat resulting in the sensation as if something is stuck in throat. Other symptoms can be: Burning sensation in the chest area, burps/belchings.
Next Steps
my advise would be: 1. AVOID: - Spicy, Sour, Too Hot foods and drinks. - Sleeping/lying down within 2hrs of having food. 2. MEDICATIONS: - Get an ENT Consultation and need to use medications for at least 15 days with which her symptoms will subside.
