Hello doctor. My baby is 1 and half month old. I want to know is drinking tea safe or will it affect breastfeeding milk or be unsafe for baby? And any restrictions about particular food items in this phase ?

Avoid tea,  coffee,  carbobated beverages, spicy and highly flavoured foods during breastfeeding because it may transfer to the milk and through this,  it may irritate the baby gut and create health issues in baby like diarrhea and other issues

Drinking tea s safe if you take 1-2 cups a day, avoid taking tea at bed time, because the same caffeine will go to baby also through milk, and she will not sleep at night.
