Hello, decay or cavity affected teeth require intervening with decay removal/cleaning and restoration. It is necessary because if left untreated may lead to furthur decay and eventual pain. Furthur incidence of cavity can be prevented by following regular oral hygiene measures like timely brushing with correct technique and a good fluoride containing toothpaste and also a mouthwash. Plaque and tartar accumulation can also be reduced by using a good mouthwash and periodic scaling. For furthur clarification and details please contact a dental practitione.
