Greetings Doctor, my friend who is a male aged 28yrs was tested reactive positive with both Syphillis VDRL and TPHA with a titer 1:640 He consulted a doctor who prescribed him an antibiotic {sorry I don't have the name of the antibiotics} for 15 days and he was tested again with TPHA and the result was titer 1:320, to which the doctor gave him a Penicillin Injection A week later when he tested with the TPHA was titer 1:640. Can u please tell us why the titer has increased and how to get treated

may have to repeat the injection more frequently, usually for a period of 3 weeks. the titer to come to normal would take a longer period. Consult a infectious disease consultant nearby
