Hello. The swelling that you can appreciate is a hematoma ( blood collection). As already 3 days passed, you don't need to do anything for swelling. The blood will gradually be absorbed in it's own and will take atleast 1-2 weeks. Nothing to worry . Just keep a check on his activities, any dullness, unconsciousness, fits etc to be on safer side.
