Good afternoon ma'am, sialadenitis is just an inflammation of the salivary gland. If your husband is getting recurrent pain, then it is best to get a sialadenoscopy done. This will identify if there's any stones (even minor) ones which are causing obstruction to the flow of saliva from the gland to the mouth.
