My father has type 2 diabetes for 5 years,
Currently he is taking himalaya diabecon DS tablets for past 3 years, his current diabetes report is,
Fasting -160
Pp- 190
Age- 58
Sex- Male
Current B. P - 160/98(medication -Amlokind 2.5)
Kindly, suggest a suitable medication for him that has least side effects with more benefits... Thank you.

Dear Sir, your age is 58 means father must be above 70!

it's better to keep his sugar around 150 than exact contolled because single episode of hypoglycemia is very risky athis age...

I cannot suggest him any medicine without seeing him. However what i can recommend is that you do a HbA1c (3 month average blood sugar test ), which will give you a real measure of blood sugar level. If it is less than 7 , the continue what you are doing. Nothing extra needed. If it is higher than 7 % , consider switching to allopathy .And NO... allopathy medicines DO NOT have side effects like you believe .
