Sugar level of my mother is 101 fasting and 183 2hours after meal. Doctor had advised not to eat fruits. Can you please suggest fruits really impact sugar level. Thanks.

She probably has diabetes. Fruits in moderation will not elevate the blood sugars. If blood sugars are elevated it is because of diabetes. Get an hba1c and other blood tests and then treatment.
