Hi doc, my son is 5 years old. He is suddenly waking up in sleep and looks somewhere,shakes his hands and legs ,and gives like a scared expression . If  we call out his name , he calms for 2 sec and then again repeats this action . Later he'll sleep normally .Morning if we ask , he doesn't remember. From last week , 3 episodes happened . Why is he doing this way ??

In a growing child sleep awakening is normal... Improves over age ..Once consult  to evaluate further.
