Stressed by the thought ofmeeting people

I feel to be alone more often. I don't like to see people around me..even i stopped hanging out with my friends.whenever i have to meet anyone i feel stressed and want to isolate myself from everything. I don't know if its common or i can do something about it.Please suggest something.
