The stool shown appears brownish/greenish, which can be normal in a 2½-month-old baby, especially in a formula-fed infant. Formula milk commonly causes stools to be darker and more green/brown than breastfed stools. The photo does not look like typical pale/white clay-coloured stool.
Next Steps
If baby is feeding well, active, passing urine normally, gaining weight, and there is no vomiting, fever, abdominal distension or blood in stool, you can generally continue the current feeds and observe.
Health Tips
Seek pediatric assessment if stools become white/grey/clay coloured, black and tarry (without an iron-related explanation), bloody, or if the baby develops jaundice, poor feeding, repeated vomiting, lethargy, or reduced urine output.
