The chances of one sided cord palsy without any cause is a common problem. He needs a thorough investigation and if all causes are excluded then the management is basically conservative. Sometimes there is remission after 6 months. So wait for a period of 6 months and then get him re-evaluated. Meanwhile if any new symptom arises like difficulty in breathing or swallowing, then visit an ent practitioner sos.
