Steam inhalation when covid positive

Hello doctor my father and husband are covid positive and was having fever last week, and now the fever subsided but is having couch on n off while talking, laughing and occasionally sleeping. No chest pain or difficulty breathing. Is steam inhalation good for this? What are the warning signs which we should be careful about?

Breathing difficulty if any, continuous fever spikes,with drop in saturation levels with rise in CRP and DDimer levels etc are few warning signs consult pulmonologist in case if any .. take steam if nose block is there or unable to cough out sputum but not otherwise
