This is a case of carcinoma cervix most likekly stage IIB . surgery followed by chemo radiation will be the first choice in your case.

56yr old lady with an abnormal lesion in uterine cervix. Things to be done- 1. Biopsy of the suspected mass in cervix to confirm cancer. 2. Blood tests and examination of her uterine cervix region as well as general physical exam to check fitness for curative treatment. If the above tests are suggestive of cancer, she will be staged as FIGO IIB. Rx advice: Radiation treatment to pelvic region with/without chemotherapy. Total treatment duration will be around 2 months. Surgery alone is not advisable since there is high chance of disease recurrence. Point/s not favoring surgery as the first treatment, is/are that- Parametrial extension will require radiation even if surgery is done perfectly. So why two treatments(surgery and radiation) when radiation(+/-chemo) itself will give the same outcome with the added advantage of preserving the organs with no skin scar. Of course there are side effects of radiation and chemotherapy.
