Hi Doctor, My child is 5 Year old and we came to know about his Squint problem since he was 1.5 year old. We have consulted many doctors, some are suggesting immediate surgery and some are advising to wait till he will be 12 years. He is wearing specs as per advised by doctor and also doing eye excersize at home. We are very confused that when should we go for his Squint surgery ? pls advise. His latest eye check report is enclosed for your reference. Regards,

Consult Now
Decision of performing surgery tests Ona few factors. What type of deviation is there, what is the degree of deviation, is the vision equal in both eyes with spectacles, is there a paralytic element, are there any associated anatomical anomalies etc etc. Generalisation is not possible. Will need clinical details for a more confirmatory opinion .
