Sprained ankle cold to touch

I sprained my ankle yesterday and within 10 minutes it became very swollen. When I went to bed last night I noticed that my hurt foot was very cold compared to the other foot. The coldness went all the way up to my knee. Bruising is starting to form and the cold temp will not go away. Why is my sprained ankle leg so cold?

Coldness might be due to altered sensation..... Because usually injured part feels warm due to increased blood supply and swelling. Also need to assess the vascularity to the limb i. e. Blood supply... Whether it is compromised
