X-rays can ascertain the damage of bones... We need to evaluate the integrity of the joint through clinical testing..
I recommend you to visit a physio to get it checked and then follow a good rehab protocol..to recover faster..
There could be a ligament damage..say it can be a mild strain to partial or complete tear..
Since you are not complaining of complete tear symptoms.. you can recover faster with rehab..
