Did anyone have special contact for spine surgeon...i have disc prolapse l4-5, pain in right leg and sometimes back pain..mri  finding same right nerve compress... As i am worried about surgery,i am delayin it...but please help me out ,is this surgery is safe...can i able to live again normal life... am 31 yrs old...from mumbai

Not all patients of backache need surgery. Most of them can be treated with out surgery. Kindly consult a ortho surgeon before giving in for surgery.

You need to be clinically examined and your mri films need to be studied.In case of a significant disc prolapse delaying surgery will lead to deficits (weakness of leg muscles). Surgery if required is very safe and gives good results.
