Soft Marker - SUA and Echogenic Focus
Hi Doctors,
Good Evening!
My wife had anamoly scan today(19 Weeks 2days), and as per reports found two soft markers - 2 Vessel Chord and Small Echogenic Focus in Left Ventricle and rest is normal.
The double marker and NIPT done earlier were normal(low).
Could you please suggest? Is there something to worry about?
Two vessels cord and a small echogenic focus in left ventricle are not indication for an abortion. It only means that you should be aware of the problem and you should tell the Paediatrician about these at the time of delivery. Most of the time they don't have any significant effect on the baby.

As per report,
For foci in left ventricle, i recommend fetal 2d echo in one week or two .
For 2 vessels cord, one shall watch out for fetal growth in subsequent visit with doctor as it can cause Iugr, preeclampsia in mother.
So Visit your consulting doctor weekly
