It could be a traumatic ulcer, usually results after a cheek bite. If it doesn’t heal in a week then please visit your nearest Dentist for further evaluation.

To give a rational opinion about what your problem actually is the basic requirement will be a proper clinical examination or at least a look at the clinical photograph of the affected area. It'll be of great help to us if you can post such a photograph on Practo for a better evaluation from our side. You should not be using topical ointment for a very long time because they do not cure such ulcers or lesions but only provide temporary symptomatic relief. If a small wound or an ulcer inside the mouth does not Heal within 7 to 10 days then you need to visit a dentist so that the secondary factors for the delay in the healing can be evaluated and the right treatment can be instituted as soon as possible. Regards.
