When your baby is a newborn, they will have no concept of night and day. But as they get a little older you can start getting them used to the difference between day and night. During the day, keep curtains open, and make sure there is plenty of activity going on. And don't worry too much about everyday noises while your baby has a daytime nap. At night, you need to make things more calm and quiet. So, don’t play games or get them excited, avoid loud noises and talking, and try and keep lights low and curtains shut. This way, your baby will gradually learn that daytime is for activity, and night-time is for sleeping.
