The most important part of treatment is to decrease warmth, moisture, and friction. Gently clean daily with water

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me. Thank you for sharing the image and details. I understand your discomfort. Based on the picture, this appears more consistent with intertrigo with fungal infection (candidal rash) rather than simple pad rash. The redness in the skin fold with irritation and burning supports this. ⸻ What you should do now • Keep the area clean and completely dry at all times • Avoid pads temporarily or switch to breathable cotton options • Wear loose cotton undergarments • Do not apply any harsh soaps or antiseptics ⸻ Treatment • Apply clotrimazole or luliconazole cream twice daily for 10 to 14 days • You can use a dusting antifungal powder during daytime to reduce moisture • If itching is severe, a mild antihistamine at night can help ⚠️ Avoid steroid containing creams without proper guidance as they can worsen fungal infection ⸻ When to consult a doctor immediately • If pain becomes severe or there are cracks or discharge • If rash spreads or does not improve in 4 to 5 days • If you develop fever ⸻ Important reassurance This is a very common condition in moist areas and is completely treatable with proper care and antifungal treatment. ⸻ For personalised consultation and proper prescription, you can reach out to me directly on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. Wishing you quick relief. Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
