Side effects of contraceptive pills

Hello, It was the 23rd day of my period cycle (period date being 20th of every month) when the condom was in my vagina with the rim being outside only. To avoid unwanted pregnancy, I took an ipill within 12 hours. Is it still possible to be pregnant and what side effects of contraceptive do I expect?

Chances of getting pregnant on day 23 of your cycle are unlikely but yes emergency pills have a high failure rate and you can be pregnant despite one the side effects may include exccessive and irregular vaginal bleeding delayed periods
