Hi, i had sprained my shoulder some 7months back while throwing the ball while playing cricket. however it healed by itself and the pain had gone, now i can move my hand normally wheras i cannot lif my hand above my head. there is no swealling in my shoulder. please suggest if i would need a scan for that.

• Gentle Shoulder Stretching. • Core Strengthening Exercises. • Gentle Neck Exercises. • Avoid sleeping on affected side. • Warm up and cool down is a must.

Throwing can cause a tear in the superior labrum of the shoulder joint. An MRI will confirm the diagnosis. Kindly get an MRI done and consult your local orthopaedic surgeon who may refer you to a shoulder specialist if required.
