Dear Friend
Once shoulder gets dislocated in young age of less than 25 years, there are more than 50% chances of second dislocation. However, patient can be treated initially with physiotherapy exercises.
If such patients develope second dislocation or more, then it becomes recurrent dislocation. Only treatment for this is surgery.
Mostly Arthroscopy surgery is performed to repair torn structures. Bigger open surgery may be necessary when damage is extensive.
Delay in surgery causes more and more damage to joint. Better to consult shoulder specialist orthopedic surgeon /Arthroscopy surgeon.
