Recently, I went to a doctor because I felt like my right eye is a little bit weaker than my left. This prescription came out of the visit (attachment). Should I wear glasses? The doctor's assistant said that I shouldn't as I'll start depending on them. I'm confused and need guidance. Should I wear them?

Not needed as the power is very small and that too only in one eye. It will not affect your vision. Sometimes working on laptop cause dryness in your eyes and leads to mild blurring of vision. Use refresh tears eye drops  4 times a day and still if problem persists you can go for glasses.

Normally no one has perfect eyes, which means almost everyone usually has a minor power which is insignificant since they have clear vision without glasses. Sometimes however certain issue like dryness of the eyes especially from sitting in front if the screen for too long causes that minor power to have an amplified effect on your eyes and causes blurring. Therefore it is important to rule out whether or not you are suffering from dry eyes and as a rule first dry eyes should be treated with frequent use of lubricating eyedrops and reducing your screen usage. Still if the issue if dryness persists a trial of glasses is useful to help in clearing the vision. One should not worry about whether or not you get used to glasses because it is a much better alternative to use glasses living with lower quality of vision.
